SUMMARY OF THE OFFICIAL LAUNCH OF THE GREAT CAMPAIGN TO PROMOTE THE MILLENNIUM DEVELOPMENT

 



As part of strengthening bilateral relations between Togo and Ghana, Togo and Ghana youth are mobilizing to develop actions and exchange of cultural knowledge to ensure sustainable development.
April 25, 2012, as part of festivities marking the fifty-second anniversary of the independence of Togo, the Association of Young Volunteers in Service World Environmental (AJVSME) officially launched in collaboration with International Youth Consul Ghana Chapter (IYC Ghana Chapter) and the UNDP TOGO BIG promotional campaign for the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) through a press conference at the headquarters of the meeting AMESTY INTERNATIONAL TOGO.
This press conference was attended by all the associations and youth organization of the University of Lomé and the territory then the participation of other young people as individuals. The campaign of the great promotion of the MDGs as Mr. BAYITA Kokou Elom (Association President & Initiator of the event) is to communicate, educate and educate all citizens with special emphasis on all Youth and student involvement to ensure sustainable development.


Actions this year will be piloted in the Project CLEAN TOGO 2012; under the theme: Peace and Nonviolence to ensure sustainable development without forgetting the free movement of persons and property.
The objective of this major program of promotion of the Millennium Development Goals is to inform the general public the 8 Millennium Development Goals.
It would raise the question of Togolese citizens and especially young African issues on the North-South solidarity and South-South, to inform them about the mechanisms of development assistance, to present and work with all of public and private national and international acting for development and contribute more specifically to achieve these objectives 8: NGOs, private sector, foundations, public institutions, donors, local authorities, social partners.In this program, special emphasis would be put in place to train young Togolese diplomacy to discuss and debate on current issues and innovative ideas that can lead to sustainable development. Young people will also be trained on the creation and management of sustainable green jobs and talk with other young people from diverse cultures on various themes.
In this scope, we are seeking assistants in all areas at all levels so that we can significantly reduce by 2015 the poverty rate and the fight against extreme starvation the promoter said Mr. BAYITA Kokou Elom.
The intervention of the Representative of Ghana Chapter IYC Mr. Walter Ekoué ADAMAH helped inform the general public attended this meeting on the 8 Millennium Development and pledged their total commitment to retain this partnership action which born in the Association AJVSME IYC and Ghana.In his speech, it was concluded with the AJVSME the establishment of International Youth Chapter Consul Togo (Togo Chapter IYC) and TOGO INTERNATIONAL MODEL UNITED NATION.
The representative of UNDP TOGO Roland AD-FOLLY GBEGNON in his contribution warmly commended the initiative of young people in order to guarantee sustainable development. He asked the proponents to get in touch with the United Nations Association of Togo for partnership activities and exchanges to ensure that its collective actions continue in a sustainable way.

A reforestation campaign on twenty acres in five towns in the coastal region is provided in the context of biodiversity conservation.
The guests present were asked for clarification and the developer expressed their willingness and motivation of this field of solidarity and exchange of national and international.
